Privacy policy
How MixMaxer handles merchant and store data.
This policy describes what MixMaxer (“we”, “the app”) collects when a Shopify merchant installs the app, why, and how it is handled. Last updated September 10, 2026.
What we collect
- Store information: the store's myshopify domain, name, currency, primary language, plan, and the API access token Shopify issues to the app.
- Configuration you create: offers, widget settings, texts and translations, report preferences.
- Product data you select: product and collection titles, handles, images and prices of the products included in offers, read from Shopify and refreshed when offers are synced.
- Aggregate order metrics: order totals, order dates, discount amounts and which offer was involved, received through the orders/create webhook. Product ID pairs bought together are counted for “Frequently bought together” suggestions.
- Storefront widget events: anonymous impression and add-to-cart counts per offer, sent through the Shopify app proxy. No cookies are set by the app; an A/B test bucket is kept in the visitor's browser storage and as a cart attribute.
What we do not collect
We do not store customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, shipping or billing addresses, payment details or IP addresses. Order webhooks are processed for aggregates only and the personal fields are discarded immediately.
Why we process it
To provide the service: create and maintain automatic discounts, render offers in your storefront, show analytics, send the reports you switch on, and support you. We do not sell or share data for advertising.
Where it is stored
Data is hosted on Fly.io in the European Union (Amsterdam) in an encrypted Postgres database. Report emails, when enabled by the merchant, are sent through Resend. Both providers act as processors under a data processing agreement.
Retention and deletion
Data is kept while the app is installed. When the app is uninstalled, Shopify sends the shop/redact webhook and all data of that store is deleted within 48 hours. Merchants can request earlier deletion by email. Customer data-request and customer-redact webhooks are implemented; since no personal customer data is stored, they return no records.
Your rights
Merchants and their customers may request access to, correction of or deletion of data by emailing support@mixmaxer.com. We answer within 30 days.
Changes
We will update this page when the processing changes and note the date above. Material changes are announced inside the app.
