Combining with discount codes
Which codes stack with MixMaxer offers and which do not.
- Every offer has “Combine with order and shipping discounts”. On (default): order-level codes (10% off the order) and free-shipping codes apply on top of the offer.
- Product-level discount codes (10% off product X): Shopify keeps the one that saves more, the code or the offer, never both.
- Automatic discounts from other apps behave like codes of the same class.
- Store-wide sales set as Shopify automatic discounts: same rule; MixMaxer offers are not applied twice on discounted items.
Store-wide setting: Settings › General › “Combine with order & shipping discount codes” is the default for new offers; each offer can override it.
Common problems
Customers report the code “can't be combined”.
The code is a product discount, or the offer's combination switch is off. Turn the switch on and save, or convert the code to an order discount in Shopify › Discounts.
